Who Can Contribute?

Anyone with relevant foodservice experience can contribute to Postlap. You don't need to be a professional writer — real operator experience is more valuable than polished prose. We welcome contributions from restaurant owners, managers, chefs, consultants, accountants, technology specialists, and anyone with practical knowledge that helps foodservice entrepreneurs.

What We're Looking For

We publish content that helps foodservice entrepreneurs make better decisions, solve operational problems, or use practical resources. Strong contributions include: step-by-step guides with real examples, financial calculations with clear explanations, operator stories with honest lessons learned, practical templates and checklists, and neutral technology comparisons based on real experience.

Content Standards

Every submission must score at least 7/10 on our editorial rubric, which evaluates: audience relevance (does it help a foodservice entrepreneur?), practical value (can the reader act on it?), clarity and structure (is it well organized?), credibility (are claims supported?), originality (does it add value beyond what exists?), and disclosure (are regional, commercial, and conflict-of-interest details clear?).

Submission Process

1. Create an account and verify your email. 2. Write your draft using our editor. 3. Submit for review — your first three posts require editorial review. 4. An editor will review, score, and provide feedback. 5. If approved, your post is published. If changes are requested, you'll receive specific feedback to revise. Review typically takes 48 hours.

Contributor Levels

Member: Can read, like, save, follow, and comment (after email verification). Contributor: After your first post is approved, you can submit posts for review. Trusted Contributor: After 3+ approved posts with consistent quality, you receive faster review and may earn direct publishing. Verified Expert: A manually verified badge for operators or specialists with relevant experience — not granted automatically.

What We Don't Publish

We reject: recipes without a business angle, restaurant reviews, generic motivation content, vendor-driven articles without disclosure, copied or low-quality AI content, content without region labels for location-sensitive advice, and wordy content with no practical value. Sponsored and affiliate content must always be clearly labelled.

Disclosure Requirements

You must disclose: commercial relationships with vendors or platforms mentioned, affiliate links or referral arrangements, financial interests in products or services discussed, and when content was created with significant AI assistance. Region-sensitive advice (tax, legal, labour, health) must identify the applicable jurisdiction.

Your Contributor Profile

Your Postlap profile is public and shows your name, bio, expertise area, and published contributions. A strong profile builds credibility and helps the community trust your experience. Verified Expert badges require manual evidence of relevant experience.

Content Licence

You retain ownership of your content. By publishing on Postlap, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. You can request content removal at any time, though previously published URLs may retain search engine indexing.

Getting Started

The best way to start is with a small, focused contribution: answer one specific operator question, review a template from our Resources section, or share one lesson from your experience. You don't need to write a full article — a practical quote or short insight is valuable.
